Since the summer of 2011, Kristen Gensler has assisted in the expansion of Power Line services by teaching lefty hitting and slapping, infield and outfield defense, throwing technique, and acting as a camp coordinator and college recruit advisor. Gensler, a University of San Diego graduate, joins Power Line’s interest in mentoring competitive athletes.
Kristen Gensler played in 182 games throughout her college softball career with 555 at bats, which ranks 9th in University of San Diego softball history. As the lead-off batter, Gensler recorded 158 hits and 94 runs scored. In 2010, Gensler led her team in Pacific Coast Softball Conference games with a .359 batting average consisting of 14 multi-hit games while scoring a team best of 26 runs. Gensler was nominated All- Pacific Coast Conference second team in 2009 and 2010, and in 2011 Gensler was awarded Defensive Player of the Year.
Gensler played softball, volleyball and basketball for Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara and travel softball for the Southern California Pumas 18U Gold, coached by Gary Keohohou.
